FONTANA – A Fontana man was convicted of sexual assaulting three teen girls officials said. Eduardo Manila, 52, was found guilty of 8 counts of Lewd Act Upon a Child. These sexual assaults involved three victims, a 13-year-old, a 14-year-old, and another child, whose age was not disclosed.
In September 2014, the 13-year old victim (Jane Does) disclosed to her grandparents that Manila inappropriately touched her when she spent the night at his home. Victim #1 was friends with Manila’s fiancé’s 14-year-old daughter at the time of the incident. “It was at that point, Janet Doe disclosed that she, too, had been touched by the defendant,” Smith said.
It was also learned that a third victim, Manila’s stepdaughter, Mary Doe, made similar allegations years earlier. Manila will be sentenced at the Rancho Cucamonga Superior Court on April 5, 2017, where he will face 44 years to life in prison.
