FONTANA, Calif. – A 35-year-old Fontana man was struck and killed by a semi-truck with trailers while riding his motorcycle.
On Thursday, April 4, 2019, at around 4:53 a.m., the man was riding his Yamaha FZ6R motorcycle westbound on Jurupa Avenue approaching Redwood Avenue. The semi-truck with two trailers attacked was driving eastbound on Jurupa Avenue. The truck made a left turn onto northbound Redwood Avenue. The motorcyclist was unable to stop on time and struck the rear right tire of the 2nd trailer police said.
The rider was was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. The area was closed for several hours for the investigation.
