HESPERIA – A now 24-year-old former dance instructor at the Dance Dynamics in Hesperia and Upland, who also was a proctor at Topaz Preparatory Academy in Hesperia has been sentenced to 8 years in prison for the sexual assault of a female child.
Thomas Delany Cook who was 22 years-old at the time, was detained for questioning on the morning of February 7, 2015, after being accused of being sexually involved with a 13-year-old female dance student. Cook was taken to the Hesperia Police Department for questioning and was subsequently arrested.
Over 2 years later, on Wednesday, February 15, 2017, Cook was found guilty of lewd acts with a child under 14 years of age. Cook was sentenced to 8 years in prison and will be required to register as a sex offender for life.
