NORWALK – A former assistant track coach was sentenced to three years in prison for illicit sexual activity with three teens officials said.
Johnny Arellano pleaded no contest to three felony counts including one count of oral copulation of a person under 16 and two counts of oral copulation of a person under 18. The Norwalk High School assistant track coach was convicted of engaging in sex acts with two students between June and October 2017, and another between August and September 2017. A concerned adult alerted authorities to the situation. Arellano was arrested on October 5, 2017.
In addition to the three years in prison, Arellano will be required to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
