FONTANA – Four men were arrested in connection with the January 30, 2018, murder of a Fontana man. The shooting was reported in the 11800 block of Autumn Street in the City of Fontana. When police arrived, they located 29-year-old Kryshtian Avila suffering from gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene and attempted to stabilize Avila to no avail. Avila died as a result of his injuries.
Through investigation, numerous suspects were identified as being involved in the homicide. Authorities believed that the incident was gang-related. On March 2, 2018, Antonio Ruiz was arrested for murder. Authorities said that Ronny Buzenes, Rolando Delgado, and Manuel Ibarra all assisted in covering up the crime and disposing of the evidence. Buzenes, Delgado, and Ibarra were arrested and charged with accessory to murder.
