CAJON PASS,. Ca. – An Apple Valley man, an Moreno Valley man and two 16-year-old Victorville girls were injured in a traffic collision on Thursday morning.
At around 5:15 a.m., Christian Martinez, 25, of Moreno Valley was driving his gray Toyota Prius just south of Oak Hill Road on the 15 freeway northbound. CHP officials said that Martinez was driving 70 miles per hour when Daniel Castellaw, 18, of Apple Valley was driving a 2017 Red Ford Mustang in the same area at an unknown speed. At some point, the Mustang crashed into the back of the Prius sending both vehicles out of control and down the embankment.
When CHP officers and emergency medical personnel arrived, they found Martinez suffering from minor injuries and Castellaw and two unidentified teen passengers all suffering from major injuries. All four were transported for local hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
