Four of the five people who Kern County Sheriff’s department have been searching for in the Kern River have been recovered and identified.
An 11-year-old girl from Bakersfield fell into the river in the Keysville area on June 22 and remains missing. Both of the teens who went missing on June 16, 2019 have been recovered from the river including, 16-year-old Ivan Esquivel of San Bernardino who was found on June 25th and his cousin who went missing with him, Hugo Esquivel of San Bernardino was found on July 3rd.
Alan Aurelio Ramirez, 22, of Placentia, went missing in the Kern River on July 4th, near Keysville North, Sandy Flat Beach. His body was recovered on July 11, 2019. On July 4th a 20-year-old Jesus Alberto Perez Bautista, of Sylmar went missing near Lake Ming in the Kern River. His body was recovered on July 10, 2019.
