APPLE VALLEY – The Apple Valley Lion’s Club along with the Town of Apple Valley, IEHP and California Lions Friends in Sight are hosting a free health fair and vision screening event on Saturday.
The event will provide vision screening on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at James A. Woody Community Center located at 13467 Navajo Road in the Town of Apple Valley. This screening will be first come, first served and completely free for all ages. The event will open at 8:00 am and admissions for the Vision Screening will end at 1:00 pm. No ID will be required.
Those who are found to need glasses will receive a free pair of recycled glasses while supplies last. The screening is not meant to replace a comprehensive eye exam and refraction that you would normally obtain through a doctor’s office. It is designed to assess for ocular health concerns and provide a usable recycled pair of eyeglasses until you can obtain other professional services.
For more information contact www.AVLions.org or contact Lion Jim at 909-948-5150. Lion Jim can also be emailed at jpeugh@citivu.net. Anyone with eyeglasses or hearing aids to donate can donate those during the event.
