GARDENA, Calif. – A citizen found a 3-year-old boy walking along St. Andrew’s Street in the City of Gardena on Thursday morning.
The citizen looked around to see if there was someone with the small boy, but there was no one in sight. A “found child” call was made to the Gardena Police. Police responded and found the boy. Police searched the area for the friendly child’s parents. Officers said that the child got happy as they got closer to the apartment complex that the child lived in with his family. Officers made contact with his worried mother and reunited the two.
“We’re parents too folks and we understand accidents happen,” said Gardena Police officials. “Let’s all work together and take that extra step to ensure these rascals don’t wander off.”
