GRAND TERRACE – A 33-year-old Grand Terrace man was arrested after barricading his pregnant girlfriend in the home while abusing her authorities said.
On Friday, May 4, 2018, at around 12:28 p.m. deputies from the Central Station responded to a 911 call on the 21000 block of Walnut Avenue in Grand Terrace. The victim, who was the reporting party called several times from her cell phone crying and asking for help. When the deputies arrived they were unable to enter the home because the house was barricaded with the victim and suspect Henry Barrigan inside. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department – Specialized Enforcement Detail responded to the scene. The tactical teams attempted to communicate with Barrigan and the victim but were not successful. Specialized equipment was used to get into the home and get the injured victim to safety. The victim suffered from a broken nose and abrasions to her face. She was transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Barrigan was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for Kidnapping and Corporal Injury to Spouse or Cohabitant.
