HEMET, Ca. – A Hemet man was arrested for reckless driving and leading police on a dangerous 2-mile pursuit.
On Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at around 4:40 a.m. police responded to the 2800 block of Cindy Lane in response to numerous reports of a man racing up and down the street. When they arrived they located the blue Honda Civic, still driving in a reckless manner. Officers activated their lights and sirens, but the driver refused to stop.
The driver drove for 2 miles at speeds of over 60 miles per hour through residential streets. The pursuit ended near Florida and Sanderson Avenues. He was taken into custody and booked into jail for Felony Evading. His bail has been set for $100,000.
