HEMET, Ca. – A 49-year-old Hemet woman was arrested for attempted murder on a police officer after slashing an officer in the face with a knife.
On Thursday, November 21, 2019, at around 8:15 pp.m., police responded to a call in the 600 block of N. Kirby Street regarding a woman acting in an erratic way and displaying bizarre behavior. When officers arrived they made contact with the woman, identified as Misty Wagner. She became combative and produced a knife, slashing an officer in his arm. Officers were able to disarm Wagner and take her into custody.
The injured Hemet Police officer sustained a large cut on his arm and was rushed by ambulance to a local hospital. The officer was released and is recovering. Wagner was booked into jail for Attempted Murder of a Police Officer & being Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance.
