HESPERIA, Calif. – A Hesperia couple was arrested for child endangerment and possession of rock cocaine for sale after an Oak Hills High School student reported physical abuse.

On Monday, February 4, 2019, at around 10:30 a.m., deputies from the Hesperia Station responded to Oak Hills High School for the report made to the school by the 15-year-old girl. The student told authorities, that her father, Danny Northern, 47, of Hesperia, had abused her. She also reported that both Danny and her mother, Michelle Northern, also known as Michelle Stacey, 50, of Hesperia, were manufacturing rock cocaine in their home in the 8000
That evening, deputies with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Division served a search warrant at the home of Danny and Michelle. When they arrived the kids were located alone in the home. During the search, 2 ounces of suspected rock cocaine, packaging, and scales were located in Danny and Michelle’s bedroom. Also, deputies found that there was not much food and a lack of hygiene items in the home for the kids. Authorities said that the home appeared to be unfit for the children.
Danny and Michelle were contacted by authorities while in their vehicle at Oak Hills High School on Wednesday, February 13, 2019. Both were detained on a $500,000 arrest warrant for child endangerment, possession of rock cocaine for sales and for maintaining a place for unlawful possession/selling of narcotics. During contact with Danny and Michelle, they were found in possession of about 1 ounce of suspected rock cocaine and a large sum of U.S. currency. Both were booked at the High Desert Detention Center and are being held on $500,000 bail.
