HESPERIA, Calif. – A 21-year-old Hesperia man is behind bars for a brutal beating on his girlfriend.

Daniel Wayne Garcia was arrested on the afternoon of Sunday, April 21, 2019, after he and his girlfriend were involved in a verbal altercation in the 8800 block of Daybreak Court.

According to the victim, as they argued Garcia choked her by putting his forearm around her neck. The victim struggled to free herself, but Garia then pulled her by her hair and dragged her from the bathroom to the living room of the home.

He then took her keys and blocked the doorway so she could not exit authorities said. The victim sustained bite marks on her arm, the side of her breast, and the back of her neck. In addition, she had bruising on her arm, the side of her neck and redness on her knees from being dragged by Garcia.

Daniel Garcia, was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for Kidnapping, Spousal Abuse, and False Imprisonment. Garcia is being held in lieu of $250,000 bail and is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Monday, April 29, 2019.
