HESPERIA, Calif. – A Hesperia man was arrested for allegedly exposing himself to school-aged children in the City of Hesperia.
On April 23, 2019, at around 3:30 p.m. the suspect Alex Chavez, 25, was stopped by Hesperia station detectives in the area of Mesquite Trails Elementary and Cedar Middle Schools. The detectives were providing extra patrol at the time due to the reports of a man luring children to his vehicle and exposing his penis to them. Chavez matched the description of the male suspect described as a White or Hispanic man with a beard driving a small silver vehicle.
Chavez was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center and cited and released with a pending court date.
Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are releasing a photo of Chavez. Anyone with information regarding similar incidents which might be related to Chavez are urged to contact the Hesperia Sheriff’s Station.
