HESPERIA, Calif. – A Hesperia man was arrested for a shooting that left another man badly injured on Friday night.
At around 11:00 p.m., the blood soaked victim stumbled into the Circle K located at 8197 I Avenue in the City of Hesperia. He told the clerk that he had been shot and needed help, the clerk quickly called 911. Deputies from the Hesperia Station and emergency medical personnel responded to the location and made contact with the injured man.
The victim, who walked from the shooting location into the store, was able to identify the suspect as 28-year-old Bradley Mitchell. The victim said that he and Mitchell were involved in a verbal altercation just before the shooting, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Spokeswoman, Jodi Miller said. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
Mitchell was located and arrested at his home at 7979 Montrose Avenue on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at around 4:30 a.m.
Mitchell was determined to be on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) for felony domestic violence. He was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for Attempted Murder. He is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Tuesday, July 2, 2019.
