HESPERIA, Ca. – A Hesperia man was injured as a result of a deputy-involved shooting on Thursday evening.
At around 6:00 p.m. deputies from the Hesperia Station attempted to serve a search warrant at a home in the 9100 block of Hesperia Avenue. When they arrived they entered the home and found a male subject, later identified as 35-year-old Romik Sargsyan standing in the doorway of a bedroom. Deputies said that he produced a handgun, which led to the deputy-involved shooting. Sargsyan was transported to the hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Deputies from the San Bernardino County Specialized Investigation Division responded to assume the investigation. During the investigation, a handgun was found in the doorway and a shotgun was located inside the bedroom. Inside the garage, deputies located a large marijuana cultivation.
