HESPERIA – A Hesperia woman who is the mother of a 2-year-old child was arrested after her child was found to be malnourished and neglected in late October official said.
Chelsea Price, 25, took her daughter to an appointment with her pediatrician on October 31, 2017, where it was determined that the small child was severely emaciated as a result of undernourishment. The child was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center for necessary testing and inpatient treatment. The child’s condition was evaluated and was confirmed by Forensic Pediatricians from Loma Linda University Medical Center to be a result of severe neglect and undernourishment.
Price was arrested on February 8, 2018 and was booked into the High Desert Detention Center for Willful Cruelty to a Child. She is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.
