HIGHLAND – A 57-year-old Highland man was arrested for beating a small dog Monday evening. Just before 8:00 p.m. deputies responded to the apartments located at 25942 Baseline Street in Highland to the report of dog abuse. The reporting party reported seeing a man beating a small black and white terrier dog on his apartment balcony.
The witness recorded the beating for evidence while calling the police. On the video Louis Edward Brewster was seen striking the dog several times as the dog cried with each strike. Brewster then grabbed the small dog by the scruff of his neck and violently threw him into the wall.
