HIGHLAND – A 62-year-old Highland man was arrested Tuesday evening for the possession of bomb-making materials, officials said. On July 5, 2016, Highland Station deputies served a search warrant at a home on the 28000 block of Tonner Drive in the City of Highland.
During the search deputies located pipe bomb making materials and a quantity of a dangerous substance used to make exploding targets. Investigations and material removal was done by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Arson and Bomb detail.
Michael Mulcahy was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for felony possession of bomb-making materials and a destructive device. He is being held in lieu of $150,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear at the San Bernardino Superior Court on Thursday afternoon for an arraignment hearing.
