HIGHLAND, Ca. – A 11-month-old baby was removed from the custody of her parents after being found under the influence of methamphetamine last week.
On Friday, March 6, 2020, the Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division, Crimes Against Children Detail and along with Children and Family Services began an investigation involving the small child who was found under the influence of methamphetamine. The investigation revealed that Lisa Cruz Galindo, the baby’s 39-year-old mother, failed to protect her daughter. During a search of her home, drug paraphernalia was found. Galindo was arrested and charged with Child Cruelty and is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail. She is expected to appear at the San Bernardino Superior Court on Wednesday, March 10, 2020.
The child remains in the custody of Child and Family Services and is expected to recover.
