SAN BERNARDINO – A 38-year-old Needles man was struck by a vehicle and killed as he was walking northbound on Waterman Avenue between 3rd and 4th Street in San Bernardino.
On Sunday, August 12, 2018, at around 4:20 a.m,, the CHP received the report of a hit and run traffic collision. When they arrived they found Michael Brown lying on the sidewalk area just north of Waterman Avenue. The San Bernardino County Fire Department paramedics determined that Brown was dead on arrival. Officers arrived on scene at 4:31 a.m. and were informed that Brown had been pronounced dead as a result of his injuries.
Debris from the suspect vehicle was left at the scene and has been collected as evidence. The collision remains under investigation. Anyone with additional information regarding the incident is asked to call the San Bernardino Area CHP office at (909)383-4247.
