LANCASTER – The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide division is investigating the Monday night shooting death of a man in Lancaster. At around 11:00 p.m. deputies responded to a “shots fired” call in the 44000 block of Gingham Avenue. Upon arrival, they located a trail of blood which lead them to an unconscious man suffering to multiple gunshot wounds in the backyard of the home.
Deputies attempted to resuscitate the man by performing CPR. The victim, a black male adult, was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The incident remains under investigation at this time.
