APPLE VALLEY – A crowd of men, women, and children all came out to attend the Family Preparedness Fair at the Town Hall Conference Center located at 14975 Dale Evans Parkway in the Town of Apple Valley.
On Saturday, May 6, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. families came out to enjoy fun-pack learning, while receiving nice gifts, prizes, food, face painting, fingerprinting, and so much more.
Kids and Adults both lined up to experience the San Bernardino County Fire Department Earthquake Seismic Simulator, which gave quite a shake just following learning about earthquake safety. Outside there were representatives from Liberty Utilities, VVTA, Apple Valley Animal Control, Apple Valley Code Enforcement, and Apple Valley Recreation “Come Play”.
Children and adults enjoyed free barbecued hot dogs, chips, and bottled water. Inside there were representatives from local organizations, law enforcement, search and rescue, South West Gas, and much more all teaching how to stay safe. Attendees left with a bag full of goodies, tummies full of a great lunch, and a wealth of safety information.
