POMONA, Ca. – A building that was previously red tagged for being uninhabitable was shut down after being used as an illegal marijuana dispensary.
On March 24, 2020, at around 12:37 p.m. the Pomona police conducted a red tag enforcement at the marijuana dispensary located at 2380 N. Garey Avenue in the City of Pomona. The location was operating without a permit in the uninhabitable building leading to numerous complaints about the activity at the location. The location refused to comply with the city’s request to cease the illegal activity. “Although the use of marijuana is legal in the State of California, the sales of Marijuana are illegal within city limits,” Pomona Police officials explained. “These investigations are sensitive and all efforts to stop the activities are exhausted before Police action is taken.”
Through investigation 5 pounds of marijuana and 11 pounds of marijuana products were located at the location. The suspects have not been identified at this time.
