COMMISKEY, IN. – A 2-year-old child sustained major injuries over the weekend when falling behind a reversing lawn mower over the weekend.
At 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, July 13, 2019, William and Beverly Waltermire of Commiskey, Indiana frantically went into the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office requesting an ambulance for their grandson. They told authorities that William was mowing the lawn at their home, located at 3675 E. CR 150 S (Grayford Road). The child ran toward his grandfather as his grandmother chased behind him. The child fell and went under the mower as it was mowing.
The toddler was taken to the hospital, where he was then airlifted Riley Hospital for the treatment of serious injuries.
