VICTORVILLE, Calif. – The inmate who escaped while being seen at Victor Valley Global Medical Center on Friday has been captures, authorities said.
Daniel Zalduondo who was in custody for a parole violation and possession of stolen property when he escaped from VVGMC before 2:00 p.m. An employee at VVGMC said that the inmate was in his jail attire when arriving at the hospital for treatment. The inmate urinated on the jail clothing, which made it necessary to remove his handcuffs to redress him in blue scrubs.
Suddenly, without warning, Zalduondo ran passed the hospital staff and law enforcement and somehow escaped the hospital. Sheriff’s helicopters, ground units, and K-9’s searched the area for Zalduondo but did not locate him on Friday.
Xalduondo was located and arrested without incident at a home in the City of Victorville at around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
