BARSTOW, Calif. – A Barstow man was arrested for multiple outstanding warrants and drug possession for the purpose of sale officials said.
On Wednesday, April 4, 2019, at around 11:10 a.m., a Barstow police officer was patrolling the area, traveling east in the 1100 block of East Main Street when he noticed the male jaywalking. He made contact with the male pedestrian and identified him as 54-year-old James Eric Cheesebrew.
The officer checked his information and learned that Cheesebrew had three outstanding warrants for False Imprisonment, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Shoplifting. Cheesebrew was detained and searched and a yellow bag in his pocket was found to have several baggies filled with methamphetamine.
Based on the large amount of methamphetamine and the manner of packaging it is believed he had it for the purpose of sale. He was arrested and transported to the Barstow Police Department. He was booked into jail for Possession of Methamphetamine for sales and his outstanding warrants.
