SUN VALLEY – A wrestling coach at John H. Francis Polytechnic High School in Sun Valley, a Los Angeles neighborhood was charged with multiple counts relating to the sexual abuse of students.
Terry Terrell Gillard, 56, of Sylmar faces over two dozen counts including 23 felony counts of lewd acts upon a child ages 14 or 15, two felony counts of attempted lewd acts upon a child ages 14 or 15 and one felony count of sexual battery by restraint. Gillard allegedly abused the students who met him through the wrestling team between 2014 and 2017.
If convicted as charged, Gillard will face 24 years in state prison.
