RANCHO CUCAMONGA – A 35-year-old Hesperia woman was arrested on Thursday evening after bringing drugs into a jail parking lot. At around 5:55 p.m. Rebecca Lynn Rodriguez entered the visitor parking lot at the West Valley Detention Center in the City of Rancho Cucamonga.
Deputies made contact with her at her vehicle and noticed that she appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Their suspicions prompted an investigation, which included a search of her vehicle. During the search deputies located drug paraphernalia, prescription drugs, and methamphetamine.
Rodriguez was arrested and booked into the West Valley Detention Center for bringing drugs into a jail facility. She is being held in lieu of $25,000 and is scheduled to appear at the Rancho Cucamonga Superior court for an arraignment hearing on Monday morning.
