FONTANA, Calif. – A juvenile male was arrested for two recent robberies at the Chevron in Fontana, police said.
On March 30, 2019, at around 11:11 p.m., police responded to the first armed robbery at the Chevron station location located at 16705 Merrill Avenue. Witnesses described the suspect as a Hispanic male armed with a small handgun. The suspect fled the location with an undisclosed amount of cash. No one was injured as a result of the incident.
Nearly a month later, on April 28, 2019, police responded to the same location for another armed robbery. The suspect description matched the description of the suspect involved in the first robbery.
After an extensive investigation led to the identification and a search warrant at the home of the juvenile suspect. During the search of his home, they located clothes, money, and other items used or worn during the robbery. The juvenile was booked at the Juvenile Hall.
