LA MIRADA, Calif. – A woman was killed after being struck by a hit and run vehicle while with her grandchildren, who were also stuck.
The collision occurred on February 20, 2019, at around 1:15 p.m.. as the victims were walking northbound on Escalona Road, between Crestoak Drive and Ashgrove Drive in the City of La Mirada. The driver of the vehicle struck the three and fled the scene without stopping. The driver drove northbound on Escalona Road and out of view. The elderly grandmother died as a result of her injuries. The vehicle 2015-2017 dark grey Toyota Camry.
