LOS ANGELES, Ca. – In recent months, a few “bad apples” who happen to be wearing badges have been in the news. Some of those have even been arrested and charged with murder.
On Sunday, June 22, 2020, a Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) went out to Nickerson’s Gardens, a large public housing apartment complex in the 1500 block of East 114th Street in Watts. The officer was walking around when a small child walked up to him and told him that he did not know how to tie his shoes. Without a second thought, the officer bent over and tied the child’s shoe. The boy gave the officer a hug and thanked him before going back to play.
Bad things obviously do happen, but good things do far more often, most are just not captured in photos. When these things are captured, they are not usually considered top news.
