BARSTOW, Calif. –Barstow Police arrested a suspect believed to be involved in a stabbing that killed a man in the City of Los Angeles.
On Sunday, March 31, 2019, at around 12:30 a.m. Jayron Boston, 31, was stabbed in the 400 block of East Lanzit Avenue in the Green Meadows area of Los Angeles. Just before being stabbed, the victim and the suspect were involved in a fight. Elijah William Warren III, allegedly produced a knife during the fight and stabbed Boston. When emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene they determined that Boston was deceased.
Investigation led to Warren being named as the suspect involved in the murder. On Thursday, June 6, 2019, at around 9:30 a.m. Barstow Police received a call from an anonymous caller reporting that “Warren”, who was wanted for murder was staying in the 1100 block of Pueblo Drive. Warren was described as a black man in his fifties. He was also described as being bald with protruding lower teeth. The caller told dispatch that Warren was wanted for murder in the Los Angeles area.
Detectives from the Barstow Police Department contacted the Los Angeles Police Department’s Robbery / Homicide Division in order to confirm whether or not there was a black male adult named Warren in his fifties who was wanted for murder. It was confirmed he was, in fact, wanted for murder.
Detectives decided to conduct surveillance in the area of Pueblo Drive. They noticed Cheryl Fullilove, who lived at the home exit the home and walk toward Main Street. Shortly after, a male subject matching the description as the wanted suspect exited the home. Detectives made contact with the subject and were able to identify him as Elijah William Warren III.
Warren was arrested without incident. Detectives made contact with Lullilove in the 1000 block of East Main Street and arrested her for an outstanding misdemeanor traffic warrant. Both were transported to the Police department for further investigation. In the afternoon of June 6, 2019, LAPD detectives from the South Bureau Homicide Division drove to Barstow and met with BPD detectives. BPD detectives obtained a search warrant for Lullilove’s residence, the search warrant was executed by BPD and LAPD detectives regarding the murder investigation.
At the completion of the search warrant search, detectives interviewed Warren and Lullilove regarding the murder of Jayron Boston. Warren was subsequently booked for murder and a probation violation and Lullilove was booked and released with a citation due to medical issues.
