HESPERIA – A 30-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a Highway 173 traffic collision on Thursday officials said.
At around 3:47 p.m. Kaleena Ann Porter, of Los Angeles, was riding her 1995 Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on SR-173 with a group of friends when around six miles east of SR-138 for reasons that remain under investigation, she crossed over the center divider on a sharp curve and collided with a westbound traveling Dodge Ram truck.
Porter was ejected from her motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding emergency medical personnel at around 4:03 p.m. No other injuries were reported as a result of the collision. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
Porter was known by friends, colleagues, and family as a one-of-a-kind, highly talented artist. Porter is survived by her father and sister, who reside in Jacksonville, Florida. She also leaves behind her dogs who will be adopted by her cousin in Washington, D.C.
Her family is seeking donations through a Go Fund Me Account to offset the costs associated with her sudden and unexpected passing including her sister and father’s travel to California to arrange for transport of her remains, her two dogs, and her belongings back to Florida. Kalenna’s sister, Sarah said that any donations that surpass what is needed for these expenses will go to City Dog Rescue in Washington, D.C, the place where she adopted her dogs, “Moby” and “Maeby”.
