LUCERNE VALLEY – A 47-year-old Lucerne Valley woman was arrested on Friday for forging a check deposited at the First Mountain Bank in Lucerne Valley.
The deposit was made by Seana Rasberry on November 11, 2016, through a night drop box and was processed by the bank on November 14, 2016. Rasberry went back to the bank on Monday, November 14th to withdrawal most of the funds from the deposited check. Rasberry made additional ATM withdrawals in the following days.
On November 17, 2016, the bank learned the check had been forged and reported the forged check to authorities on Friday, December 2, 2016. Deputies investigated the case and positively identified Rasberry as the suspect on Friday, March 10, 2017. Rasberry was arrested and booked into the High Desert Detention for forgery and theft using an access card. Rasberry was released on bail.
