A noisy hotel room guest was threatened with a gun on Saturday night, leading to the arrest of a Texas man, authorities said.
At around 11:25 p.m. deputies responded to a hotel in the 25200 block of Redlands Boulevard in Loma Linda for the report of the male suspect brandishing a firearm. Through investigation, it was learned that the female victim was in her hotel room when the suspect, 41-year-old Cedar Hill, Texas resident, James Hamilton went to her door to complain about the noise coming from her room. The victim told authorities that a few minutes later, the suspect came back to her room to complain about the noise. He pulled a handgun from his waistband and pointed it at the victim.
Hamilton was detained and a Beretta PX4 handgun with a box of .40 caliber ammunition was located in the hotel room. Hamilton was arrested and booked into the Central Detention Center for assault with a firearm. He is being held in lieu of $115,000 bail.
