MORENO VALLEY – A 40-year-old Santa Ana man was arrested for the assault of his 86-year-old family member in the City of Moreno Valley.
On Wednesday, May 30, 2018, just before 6:30 a.m. police responded to the report of an injured man lying in the roadway. When they arrived they located the elderly Hispanic man lying on the street suffering from major injuries. Through investigation, officers learned that the victim was assaulted by Alvaro Gutierrez, a family member. Gutierrez was detained and was subsequently booked into jail for Attempted Murder and Elder Abuse.
