VICTORVILLE – A Victorville transient was arrested after calling 911 dozens of times with false reports officials said.
On Saturday, October 13, 2018, at around 9:00 p.m. deputies from the Victorville station responded to the Economy Inn, located in the 15800 block of Mojave Drive for the report of a disturbance. When they arrived they learned that it was yet another false report made by 32-year-old Ricky Bynum. Authorities said that during the last nine days before the call on Saturday, Bynum made around 30 calls to 911.
The calls included reports, al false, saying that he was being watched and shot at. It was also learned that Bynum was also arrested on Monday, October 8, 2018, and Tuesday, October 9, 2018, for the same charges. San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Spokeswoman, Mara Rodriguez said that the multiple reports tye up the 911 phone lines for extended periods of time.
Bynum was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center for making Annoying/Harassing Calls to 911. Bynum is scheduled to appear at the Victorville Superior Court on Tuesday, October 16, 2018,
