DESERT HOT SPRINGS, Ca. – A 31-year-old Landers man was arrested for calling in a bomb threat to a school located in Desert Hot Springs on Thursday.
At around 10:36 a.m. the kitchen staff at the Cabot Yerxa Elementary School in Desert Hot Springs reported that they received a call indicating that there was a bomb in the school. When they arrived they quickly determined the call was a hoax after ensuring there was not a bomb on the school grounds.
Authorities were able to identify the suspect after investigating. The suspect, identified as Jerrett Tagger II, 31, of Landers, was arrested within 90 minutes of him calling the school. He was booked at the Robert Presley Detention Center for Criminal Threats and a False Report of a Bomb in a Public Place.
