INDIO – A 38-year-old Indio man was arrested after colliding with a parked car on Sunday evening. At around 5:38 p.m. officers from the Coachella Police Department responded to a traffic collision near Avenue 52 and Cypress Street. Officers were able to determine that Victor Manual Tellez was traveling westbound on Avenue 52 when he collided with the car.
Tellez was found to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the collision. A male passenger, also 38-years-old and from Indio, sustained moderate facial and head injuries as a result of the crash. He was transported to an area hospital for the treatment of his injuries.
Telles was arrested and booked into the Indio Jail for a traffic collision with injuries while under the influence.
