COLTON, Calif. – A 22-year-old man was arrested for the murder of a Fontana woman on Monday, police said.
At around 3:34 a.m., police responded to the 1300 block of North Christobal Lane in the City of Colton for the report of a possibly suicidal subject. When they arrived they made contact with Eddie Goldbaum at the home. A large amount of blood was found at the location and in Goldbaum’s vehicle. Police interviewed Goldbaum leading detectives to a dead end Acacia south of Valley in the City of Colton.
When they got there, they found a 44-year-old Fontana woman dead at the scene. Her death appeared to be the result of a gunshot wound. The next stop for detectives was the location where the crime occurred on Boyle. Evidence was located at the Boyle location
Goldbaum was arrested for the homicide of the woman who police said he knew. He was booked at the West Valley Detention Center. He is being held without bail. No other suspects were involved in the incident.
