PICO RIVERA – A 6-year-old boy was molested by a man inside of a Pico Rivera Park on Sunday. The victim was with his family at Smith park when he went into the restroom as his father stood behind at the nearby snack bar. Shortly after the boy’s father went to check on his son and found him still inside of the restroom crying. The boy pointed out the suspect, later identified as Eduardo Ciarelli, 38, who was standing behind the stall door.
Ciarelli ran from the restroom but was apprehended by both the father and a security guard. He was arrested and charged with the forcible lewd act upon a child and faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted as charged.
