A man died after being struck by a tow truck on Saturday afternoon. At around 2:30 p.m. Eduardo Gutierrez, 55, of Anaheim stopped his vehicle on the shoulder between the westbound lanes of the I-10 and the northbound transition lanes of the 210 freeway. As he changed the tire of the disabled vehicle, a tow truck struck both him and his vehicle.
Gutierrez was rushed to Loma Linda University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead in the emergency room at around 3:07 p.m. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
