PALM SPRINGS, Calif. – A 56-year-old man died after drowning in an apartment complex swimming pool on Wednesday morning.
At around 8:00 a.m. Palm Springs Police and Fire Department were dispatched to the apartment complex in the 500 block of Cottonwood Road in Palm Springs for a possible drowning. When they arrived they found the man unresponsive in the swimming pool. “Life-saving efforts were attempted but unable to revive the male and he was pronounced deceased at the scene,” Palm Springs Police officials said. The Coroner arrived at the scene and will assume the investigation.
