VICTORVILLE – A 53-year-old man was arrested for robbery after stealing merchandise from Vallarta Market.
On Sunday, June 10, 2018, at around 12:10 p.m. deputies from the Victorville Station responded to the Vallarta Market located at 12351 Mariposa Road for the report of a theft. Through investigation, deputies learned that Herman Garcia stole merchandise. While walking out of the store, security attempted to detain him by deploying pepper spray, but Garcia fled into the desert area behind the store.
Garcia was located a short time later hiding under a trailer. He was positively identified by witnesses and arrested for 2nd-degree robbery.
