VICTORVILLE, Ca. – The man killed in the deputy-involved traffic collision was identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office on Monday.
On Sunday, April 11, 2021, at around 9:30 p.m., Lavelle Hayes, 23, of Victorville, was driving in the area of Amargosa Road and Tawney Ridge when the patrol car slammed into his vehicle. The patrol vehicle was driving northbound on Amargosa Road and although the news release did not state Hayes’ route of travel, the Coroner’s report says he was driving west on Tawney Ridge Lane.
