VICTORVILLE, Calif. – Moises Dorado, a firefighter who helped to rescue Husky puppies from a large brush fire in San Diego County was reunited with his stolen dog.

Dorado adopted one of the puppies and named her Suzie in 2014. Suzie was stolen from Dorado’s home in Los Angeles County around three years after in 2017. Recently, Suzie was found by the City of Victorville’s Animal Control as she ran on the road near Village and Amargosa. Suzie was checked for a microchip and she was found to belong to Dorado. Dorado was contacted by Animal Control officers letting him know that Suzie had been located. He rushed over to pick Suzie up. Thanks to the microchip, the two were reunited.

Animal Care & Control offers a Free Microchip to all dogs currently licensed in Victorville. Call for your appointment today at (760) 955-5089.
