VICTORVILLE – A male subject was robbed at gunpoint on Friday evening while attempting to sell three pairs of Nike Jordan shoes advertised on the sales App, OfferUp.
When the victim arrived at the Northeast area of the Mountain Vista Apartments located at 15450 Nisqualli Road in the City of Victorville at around 7:50 p.m., to sell the shoes, three black males approached him. The three subjects described to be around 16-18-years-old who were all wearing black or dark blue hooded jackets, one in shorts and the others in baggy pants. One of the subjects believed to be a juvenile was armed with a sawed-off shotgun. The suspects allegedly took the victim’s cell phone and the three pairs of shoes. The victim ran to his home, located on Whispering Creek.
Ground units, as well as the Sheriff’s helicopter, responded to the scene to search for the suspects. Deputies made contact with several subjects. It is unclear if any arrests were made. Information will be updated as it is received.
