DEVORE – A 77-year-old missing Highland man was found deceased outside of his vehicle on Thursday afternoon.
The San Bernardino Police Department reached out to the public on Thursday seeking help to locate Alexander Quiroz who lived in the 2500 block of North Bonita Drive. Quiroz was last seen by his family at around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, May 29, 2017. His family said that he left his home in his 2017 Chrysler Pacifica telling them that he was heading to a San Bernardino Store. His family was concerned since Quiroz had a medical condition where he needed medication and oxygen. Without the medication or oxygen, Quiroz could become disoriented.
On Thursday, June 1, 2017, at around 2:40 p.m. California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers noticed an unoccupied vehicle in the area of Cajon Boulevard and Swarthout Canyon Road in Devore. Officers determined that the vehicle belonged to Quiroz. A search was performed and Quiroz was found deceased in close proximity to his vehicle at 3:37 p.m. No foul play is suspected. The investigation is ongoing and no further details are available.
